Fabulous city breaks, world cruises and sake in Japan!

Well, that was a busy week! It’s great to have got some fantastic holiday deals booked. One of those was a special birthday long weekend to Madrid, so this week I thought I’d share some ideas with you for a fabulous city break. I’m also highlighting why a trip to Japan should be on your travel list and revealing a new way for you to find the perfect cruise.

Madrid is an awesome Spanish city full of things to see, do, explore and eat. If you go for a long weekend, you can fill every minute or just chill and enjoy the city vibe.

Top things to see and do include the Royal Palace of Madrid (buy a ticket in advance to avoid any queues); take an afternoon walk in El Retiro Park; go on a tapas and wine tasting tour; gaze in awe at the impressive collection of European Art at the Museo del Prado and enjoy the shops, restaurants, monuments and fountains of Puerta del Sol.

Of course, no visit to Madrid would be complete without taking in a flamenco show, whether in the oldest ‘tabloas’ (places where flamenco shows take place) in Madrid, or a legendary locals’ flamenco bar.

Japan offers a unique holiday with a fascinating mix of cultural sights, stunning natural beauty and modern cities.
